1. Introduction

17Sport is seeking to appoint a social media and digital marketing partner for the 2026 calendar year. We’re looking for a proactive, creative, and data-driven partner, ideally a small agency or experienced freelancer in the North West, who can work closely with our team to help take our business to the next stage of growth. We want someone who will not only support the management of our online presence, but also help shape and deliver a clear digital strategy aligned with our brand, values, and commercial goals.

 

2. About 17Sport

17Sport is a specialist sportswear and teamwear company, supplying custom and base-range apparel to sports clubs, academies, education and business organisations across the UK. Our in-house brand, 17Pro has proven to be a huge success and we actively distribute Adidas, Puma, Joma and Umbro as well as other well-known brands. With strong growth in 2025, our focus for 2026 is to strengthen brand recognition, grow engagement, and convert that awareness into lasting customer relationships.

 

3. Objectives of the Partnership

The successful applicant will:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media and digital marketing strategy for 2026.
  • Build and maintain a consistent brand voice across all digital platforms.
  • Increase audience engagement and community interaction.
  • Support sales growth through targeted and creative campaigns.
  • Provide regular insight and reporting to guide future decision-making.

 

4. Scope of Services

We expect the following areas to be covered (though we welcome creative additions or alternative approaches):

Strategy & Planning

  • Annual marketing and content strategy aligned to business goals.
  • Clear KPIs and reporting structure.
  • Competitor and audience analysis.
  • Collaboration with sales and directors on campaign direction.

Content Creation & Scheduling

  • Development of content calendars (annual and monthly).
  • Creation of engaging photo, video, and written content across key platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc).
  • Management of post scheduling, community engagement, and performance monitoring.

Campaign Delivery

  • Product launches, brand campaigns, club features, and event promotion.
  • Paid advertising management (if within scope and expertise).
  • Email marketing support (optional but desirable).

Reporting & Insight

  • Monthly analytics report summarising engagement, reach, and ROI.
  • Recommendations for improvement and innovation.

Success Measures

  • Working with a partner who really engages with our business and feels part of the team
  • An increase in sales to meet company targets, which can be apportioned to this work
  • Increase in brand awareness

 

5. Collaboration & Communication

We expect the chosen partner to work closely with:

  • Sales Team: to align activity with commercial priorities and seasonal cycles.
  • Directors: for brand positioning, major campaigns, and strategic oversight.

Regular (e.g. monthly) progress meetings will form part of the partnership.

 

6. Submission Requirements

Interested parties are invited to submit a proposal including:

  1. Overview of your business or freelance practice
    • Experience, team, and examples of similar clients (sports or apparel preferred).
  2. Approach and proposed service delivery
    • Outline how you would approach strategy, content, and engagement.
  3. Cost Proposal
    • Estimated monthly or annual cost, including any optional add-ons (e.g. paid ad management, video production).
  4. Example Social Media Audit of 17Sport
    • A brief review (no more than 1 page) demonstrating your understanding of our brand, current channels, and where opportunities lie.
  5. References or testimonials (if available).

 

7. Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated against the following:

  • Understanding of our business and market.
  • Creativity and strategic thinking.
  • Quality and relevance of previous work.
  • Value for money.
  • Chemistry and collaborative approach.
